Dear fellow senior:

We have an opportunity now to join together to support our university. Together we can accomplish anything we set our mind to, including leaving a mark on this, our university. Since 1991, seniors have banded together to celebrate graduation and show appreciation for their education by participating in a Senior Class Gift campaign. Led by a team of senior volunteers, last year's Class of '06 aimed to set a new record, and by graduation, 193 seniors had contributed an unprecedented $7,500 to CNU.  With your help I am confident we can exceed our goal of 250 contributors and $8,000!

As state funding declines and competition for top rankings increases, CNU students play an important role in maintaining CNU's excellence. I bet you didn't know just how much giving to the Senior Class Gift can enhance the value of your degree. One criterion of U.S. News and World Reports rankings is whether alumni care enough to give back. I hope you will join me in moving CNU up the rankings ladder, and higher on employers "preferred list."

Small gifts don't sound like much individually, but the collective generosity of our class can go a long way in making an impact on undergraduate education for future CNU students, and leave a lasting mark for our class.

Please remember to give generously and commit early to the Senior Class Gift. The 2007 Class Officers and I have a goal of $20.07 per student, but gifts of any size are welcomed. Please take a look at the benefits of making gifts or pledges of $50.00 or more, and $100 or more. We have exciting things to offer! Make sure to take in every moment over the coming months and enjoy your time as a Christopher Newport University senior! Your gifts can be delivered to University Advancement on the 3rd floor of the Administration Building .

Thanks in advance for your support of our class legacy,

Katie Grace
Senior Class President

P.S. You will be receiving an email or phone call from a member of the Committee sometime in the next few weeks. Until then, if you have any questions please email me Katie.grace.04@cnu.edu. Thanks!
